Ingredients:
Meg's Blend - cacao, panela, cinnamon, cardamom, cayenne, pink Himalayan salt (earthy with a little kick of spice!)

**highly recommend adding 1 Tbsp. of tahini**

Theobroma cacao is a gentle stimulant that can be used as a coffee replacement (our cacao has low levels of caffeine, somewhere around 0-.5%) and is also used in form of ceremony in places all over the world. The theobromine in cacao is a vasodilator, widening your veins to increase more blood flow to & from your heart. Thus, being an amazing heart opening medicine!

Cacao contains high amounts of vitamins like magnesium, iron, and calcium. Let’s not forget that it has the bliss molecule anandamide, that evokes joy + happiness within the human brain!

IMPORTANT INFO TO KNOW BEFORE PURCHASING!

I have teamed up with a beautiful heart based supplier who works with incredible cacao from Finca Nueva Amanecer. This is the SAME cacao I had before (some of you have already tried it). It is some of the best cacao in the world! So, I have teamed up with Camino Del Corazon to supply you with this same incredible cacao! I wanted to bring this cacao to you and more accessibly available.

Why the price change? These are Camino Del Corazon prices. I have no say over what the price looks like. This is what is fair to them and I totally support that decision because this is some of the best and most high quality cacao in the world. You won't find such high theobromine content (heart opening molecule) cacao anywhere else. The price IS worth it, With that said, inflation has caused all countries to raise their prices. This includes the distribution from Guatemala and this farm directly. They also raise their prices. A lot of the profit from this cacao goes back to the women's collective of Finca Nueva Amanecer directly. So in supporting and buying from us you are also supporting hundreds of Mayan women and their families directly in Guatemala.

The collaboration between myself and Camino Del Corazon is a special one. They will be shipping the cacao directly to you while I manage your cacao orders here! I will always ensure that your tracking gets to you. They will be shipping the cacao out to you on the same day as me each week (Tuesday). So if you ordered cacao here as well as other items. Just know that you packages of cacao from them and your package of other goods and medicines will arrive to you still relatively around the same time.

I just want to make it clear that I am not distributing the cacao it is coming from this collaboration with 2 incredible women I do trust. However, if you do receive separate packages (1 with cacao and another with all your other purchases from My Medicine Bag) this is why.

Transparency is important to me and if you have further questions don't hesitate to reach out and ask! I am happy to clear anything up you may need clarity on in regards to this new collaboration.

I am also super passionate about this specific cacao because it has been so transformative and supportive on my own journey. I have been to this women's collective myself as well as been working closely with this specific cacao for years. I trust this cacao and I trust and am so excited about this partnership with Meg and Ava and Camino Del Corazon.

I met Meg at The Mystical Yoga Farm years ago. We have become friends even more closely during our last stay there December 2022. We have done ceremonial work together as well as shared in the passion of cacao. I have very intentionally teamed up with her because I believe in the space she is coming from.

So with all that said, let me share some info about the 2 amazing women I have teamed up with Meg and Ava.

ABOUT MEG AND AVA:

About Co-founder, Meg

One of the hearts behind Camino Del Corazon, Meg is SUPER passionate about cacao. Her journey with cacao started in 2019 on a backpacking trip throughout Southeast Asia. She attended a cacao ecstatic dance under the full super moon in a rice field in Bali and it was love at first sip!
Since then she has lived in Hawaii, Peru, & Guatemala. The medicine of cacao continued to become more and more prevalent in her life, developing a deep relationship with the spirit of the plant.
In 2022 her and Co-founder, Ava decided to birth Camino Del Corazon into existence and she traveled throughout Guatemala scouting the perfect cacao producer to source from and distribute worldwide.
Today, Meg lives at the Mystical Yoga Farm in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. There she has had the opportunity to visit and connect with the women of Finca Neuva Amanecer, where we source our cacao from today.
With an extensive background in Culinary Arts and a deep love of plant medicine, Meg is very passionate about teaching people how to create their perfect brew and sharing the medicinal properties of cacao.
She is also a musician and a ceremonialist. Her favorite way to connect with the medicine is to sing her heart songs while cacao is running through her veins, creating sacred spaces for people to connect in a safe, authentic way, & incorporating cacao in her practice of teaching yoga, somatic embodiment, and Reiki.

About Co-founder, Ava

The other heart behind Camino Del Corazon! Cacao has aided her in so much transformation that she felt called to share how magical working with this medicine can be.
Her relationship with cacao unfolded quickly as the spirit & essence of cacao resonated deeply within her from the start. Although first trying ceremonial grade in 2022 at the Mystical Yoga Farm, she knew from her first experience that this was something special to her.
Upon arriving home from the farm a month later, she began working with this medicine daily and with her community at monthly new and full moon ceremonies.
Ava is rooted in South Florida, USA where she helps to prepare, package, ship, & share this medicine. You can catch her periodically at local farmers markets with free samples or holding cacao ceremonies at her home and other community spaces.
As much as she loves alchemizing new blends with different seasonings & flavors of the Earth, her passion for providing safe spaces and facilitating supportive containers is what truly inspires her to provide cacao that helps people transition from living lead by the head to guided by the heart.
Thanks to her time in Guatemala, teachings from Meg, and a lot of cacao, Ava now plays the guitar. Sharing her heart songs and encouraging others to do the same, she believes this is one of the most potent and connective ways to honor the medicine of cacao!
Her love for this plant overflows into every aspect of life, enriching her multifaceted nature as a yoga teacher & seamstress, providing fuel for her creative expression.

ABOUT FINCA NUEVA AMANECER

Finca Nueva Amanecer is an incredible women's collective that grows and process artisanal cacao. These are beautiful Mayan women extremely connected to the heart of cacao. Cacao is a foundational aspect of their culture and also who they are.
Every cacao bean is grown and picked and processed with so much love. So much so that every part of it is literally done by hand. Through that process is manifested some of the best cacao in the world with some of the highest theobromine content in the world. This is the heart opening molecule.
This cacao is low in caffeine but high in this amazing heart opening molecule. After going to the farm myself and seeing what these women do I believe the cacao is this way because it is literally hand to cacao love transmission.

About Camino Del Corazón: Where the Way of the Heart Began

It all started when Meg and Ava met in 2022. They both decided to follow their intuition and journey to Guatemala to attend the Light Leadership Residency at the Mystical Yoga Farm. This was a month long, live-in residency where they stepped into their leadership abilities, honed in on their individual offerings, and drank lots and lots of cacao! The intention for both of them was to embark on a journey of self discovery, a coming home to the light within, and little did they know it would unfold into so much more.
Ava and Meg were assigned to share a dorm room during the Residency and they instantly knew they would become best friends. Throughout the month they played, laughed, sang, and not only drank cacao but started making their own. This led to curating, contributing to, and leading cacao ceremonies towards the end of the residency. As their friendship grew stronger and closer, so did their individual relationships with the medicine of cacao.
As the residency completed, Ava and Meg remained best friends. Meg traveled to Florida, Ava's homebase, where they led cacao ceremonies and song circles together. The goal was to spread the medicine of cacao, open the hearts of the people of the United States, and help them remember alegria (joy!)
After maybe one cup of cacao too many Meg and Ava had a burst of inspiration, a calling of the heart that could not be ignored. They decided, over their shared love and deep appreciation for the medicine of cacao, that they would start Camino del Corazon, Way of the Heart.
The vision was to become an outlet to provide the medicine of cacao ethically, sustainably, and accessibly within North America. They decided to support those who wish to embody the way of the heart through the medicine of cacao, thus, where the name Camino Del Corazon come from.
After Meg left Florida, she traveled back to Guatemala, visiting different cacao farms across the land, tasting different cacaos made with different technology and techniques. After trying many, many different kind of cacao, she and Ava both decided to support Finca Neuva Amanecer, Farm of the New Dawn, which is a women's collective. A large portion of the proceeds from this farm go towards supporting education for young girls, women's rights for the women of their village, and feeding their families.
This medicine is produced with so much love. It is wood fire roasted, hand peeled, and stone ground. As according to tradition, the men of the farm tend to the trees and the women of the collective process the medicine. We chose to work with them because of their traditional approach to processing the cacao, knowing they pour so much love, intention, and reverence into the entire process (this is why this cacao is such high quality and opens the heart so fully)!
Our mission is to promote and nurture a ceremonial lifestyle by opening the world to the way of the heart, Camino del Corazon. We are here to make cacao accessible to you and we do this by supplying ethically sourced, organic 100% Pure Ceremonial Grade Guatemalan Cacao. We are proud to support a Guatemalan Women’s Collective where the proceeds have gone towards funding female education and women’s rights in local villages.
