It is the journey back to the whole self and the wings represent that evolution into higher awareness. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI incorporated some of my favorite stones into the piece to symbolize and bring further to life the energetic qualities of this piece- Amethyst, Ethiopian Opal, and Angel Aura Quartz. The stones act as energetic support of this kuripes overall intention which is to support presence, enlightenment, and personal spiritual evolution through inner work and prayer. It is meant to act as a transmuter of intention and energy from server (you), medicine tool, and the plant spirit medicine you are working with in hape. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis piece is made with pelican bone, apoxie sculptors clay (extremely durable), acrylic paint, stones as described, and then varnished with a good quality waterproof varnish (painted parts varnished). \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe kuripe skeleton (pelican bone) I acquired in Peru and had an artist there craft this part for me. After years of making these pieces I always reflect on the durability of the evolution of these pieces. I want them to last as long as possible. Through years of trial and error I adapt... and now I have decided to make these pieces even MORE durable enforced through new materials- wood and even bone (see other pieces) to enforce the quality and durability of these medicine tools for years to come. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDo keep in mind that although I do make these as durable as possible... they are still subject to damage over time. Bamboo and wood do crack over the years... and even bone to a certain extent depending upon care and living conditions (example... if you life in a humid environment). I personally do my best to sustain their durability because I want them to last as long as possible... but also because they are living art pieces I have put SO MANY hours into in order to bring to life. These pieces should last years... and if for any reason issues occur with your piece, reach out!
